
OUR JOURNEY
Every year on my birthday I wanted nothing more than to go eat as much crawfish as I could handle but I was tired of going to restaurants that season and flavor the OUTSIDE of the shell, what a waste.
I knew I could make them delicious, flavorful and I would certainly take advantage of an excuse to have them more than one a year.
It started with backyard boils for friends and family as our recipe perfected. We boiled crawfish at least once a week, sometimes twice. It became so often that some of our friends couldn't wait for the season to end.
Writing down every measurement on the back of junk mail envelopes, we finally got flavoring those mud bugs down to a science.
We competed and won 1st place in our first Crawfish cook-off competition. Some of the judges comments included, "That wasn't even close" and "yall's was by far the best".
Needless to say, it was the most fun we've ever had despite the work involved and decided to see if we could make a career out of it.
